Well did another craft fair on Sunday. As usual didn' sell anything
but had a good time. If you call freesing part of the day having
fun. Yeah it was just so dang cold out there. I'm glad I brought
a coat as well a sweater. It wasn't that it was cold cold jusst that
the wind kept coming up and putting a chill through me.
I met allot of people there and they did enjoy looking at my work.
Well I call it playing for now, but it is adding up to stuff sitting
around the house collecting dust.. So for now I just seemt o give it away
so someone else can collect dust on it.
I did sell a couple of things at one craft fair so hopefully getting my name out
there will soon start me selling some stuff.
I do two craft fairs now. Both of them in Abbostford. One is the
farmers market on one Satudey a month. I am usually
there the middle of the month. The other is a new venue out. It is called the
Show us your Articians craft fair. That is the one I went to yesterday.
Is is outside in the back yard of the prapiator. She ownes a small farm there and
wanted to start up another type of business to make use of the property.
If worked out pretty well for her. She had lots of people come through
from advertising and such. I did see allot of people there wandering around at
one time or other. Allot seemed to show after Sunday morning brunch. There was
allot of good feedback from people coming through.
For me I will be there again next month on July 1st and try again to see if anyone is
interested in looking and maybe buying my woodworking. I do like to gat feed back
on how I am doing. Allot of them say you work is beautiful but I already have allot
of things like that around my house and don't need anymore. Well I will keep on trying
and see how it goes for the summer. I just don' think I should be taking this much
time off work to do this. But when I retire( whenever that will be) I need something
else to bide my time with. and selling it is just a sideline for now.
Another person asked me if I wanted to do another fair coming up in the summer
Is this getting to be too much for me to do? I'm not sure. I think my pate is pretty full.
Doing another one is lugging my stuff into the jeep (tables, canopy, boxes and loose
art wotrk that doesn't fit in the boxes.) It is allot of work and when I am not feeling
the best it makes it worse to do. There are other days qwere I just want to get up
and go and keep doing all this stuff, but then my body tells me about it afterwards.
Well I think i will keep it to a minimum for now. Only do the two and see what
becomes of them. Maybe next year I'll be resticking myself at work and have
more time on my hands to do other things. Depends how the feelings go in my body
and telling me to stop. For now just trudge on forward and hope for the best.
