Well another craft fair over with

This one is the last one for the series. The lady who was running it had a little trouble with the city. It seems that her neighbors were not happy with her having a business in her back yard. So they complained to the city and if she has another one they are going to fine her $150 dollars. So this was her last show unless she can find somewhere else to put it one.

The only problem with that is it will cost more to put on the craft fair somewhere else. You have to pay for the spot plus all the advertising and such. It was a nice little area to have it run. A little out of the way but all in all a good place to have it run. She was doing it in her back field.

So now I only have one venue I can go to to sell my dust collectors to hopefully be able to get rid of them.

I am looking for any other venues around the area to be able to sell. Hopefully not too expensive to set up at. I like to keep my overhead low if I can. I went to the Christmas craft fairs last year but they didn't pan out too well for me. Plus I was paying $150 for the table as well. I made no money at those and it was just so discouraging.

Well I guess the farmers market is the only place I can sell right now. I love making the things but if they sit around the house my hubby is going to start thinking we should have a bond fire and burn up some wood. Al that hard work and he just wants to see it go up in smoke. Humpff!!

Well I can tell you I made another sale here on Sunday. Yeah for me!!! Something that will not sit here and collect dust. Or hubby will think has to go to a bond fire.

Oh I did finish the box I was working on too. Good for me. Now just what am I going to do with it. I though maybe a friend at work would like it ,but I haven't heard back from her on it. So I guess I will be taking it to the next farmers market in September. I haven't got pictures of it yet but when I do I will post one or two to this sight.

Well got another project done today.  Just have to get another coat of oil on it to bring out the shine a little more.  Took ages to do this one.  I just didn't seem motivated to get around to it.  with all the aches and pains I have been feeling lately I just didn't feel like doing much of anything.  But hey life goes on and you do have to get around to doing something sooner or later or it just starts to pile up.

Anyways I started this box some time on February and it is now July and guess what it is finally finished.  Talk about procratinating on it.

 Well if I don't sell it to a friend who was looking for one I wil take it along with me to the craft fair on Sunday.  See if I can get any nibbles there.

 I did do pretty good at the Farmers market last Saturday as well.  I got rid of a couple of things.  I sold a humming bird plack I had made many eons ago along with the rabbits I had on a stick I found on the beach and would you believe it I sold a reindeer in July.  well I guess to each his own.  It does feel good to get rid of some of my dust collectors.  If not my hubby is going to decide to have a bond fire here sooner or later and get rid of some of it.  My hard work gone down the drain or up in smoke if he has his way.  I like the idea of selling them instead.  And it makes me dfeel good that someone likes my stuff besides me.

I got picture off to the right of what I sold and my latest finished project here.  It feels so good to finally get something done so I can start on something new.  Well I still have the three hgorses I am working on.  This one is time comsumming and will take a while.  It is like a jigsaw puzzle that you have to put together.  One peice at a time and glue it down.  Wait for it to dry and then glue on another piece.  So it takes a while between working on other projects.  I fugure the horses will be finished maybe sometime next year.

I am thinking in regards to next project now.  I was thinking of making some sun catchers.  You make the design and then cut it out with the scrollsaw.  Then put a piece of glass in behind and paint it the different colours and then frame it.  I have an idea of a butterfly on a flower.  Just have to start drawing it out.  Then get the wood together and transfer the opicture.  Aw the wheels are turning.  I am happy to be feeling better to get back into the sawdust.  Hope I can keep upi the good spirits in order to keep going here.

yeah almost finished another project well almost

Picture to follow in couple of days when I get it finished.  Have been piddleing in the garage a couple of days or so.  Put a few more peices to a horse picture I was making and then I finished the box I was making.  Just have to put on the hinges and the clasp.  Then a coat or two of oil and it is done.  Then anew project is under way.

This one took me a long time.  Between feeling down and sore from my sickness and not much time to just piddle.  it has been a long trial for me.  I usually love to get down in the garage at least three of four times a week but now it seems like I only get there now and again.  All the other things I have to do around here just don't seem to leave me much me time.  Well it is time to get back to it.

well what I just almost have finished is a box of sorts.  it is two feet wide by three feet long.  Made out of yellow cedar that my brother had sitting aorund here.  He shaved it off for me and then I went to work on cutting and putting it together.  My brother contributed to this box as well.  he did a little fancy cutting for me because he figured I was taking too long to work on it and decided to go at it himself.  So a few things were done by my brother.  So maybe I will have to start another one here and see if I can do it myself.  well the design was mine and I did do allot of this one but I guess just not fast enough for him.  well he gets to wanting to do something so well let him go ahead and work on it.

 So now I have it finished and will take it to the farmer market I am going to on Saturday.  See if I get any interest out of it or not.  If not I will see if a friend of mine at work will want it.  She was asking for one a few months ago but may have given up on it by now.

well as I say.  when it is finished will get a picture up of it.  It was  long time in the making but is just about finished.
