my life up till now, Dull and boring if you ask me

I guess if I am going to blog you might as well get to know me a little better.

I know who says you really want to get to know Well I am going to tell you anyways because I am getting old and like to reminise about the olden days.

I born and raised on a farm in Southern Ontario.  The youngest and as everyone said mistake in the family. You see Mom and Dad had me 6 years after my sister so be it to say I was a mistake.  I took it in stride though.  Was tormented by my older sister and when  I was going to school every one else had already left to roost.  The oldest brother was still around as he helped to workl the farm.  Me I never reaaly helped out that much. Was never sure whether I was a Tom boy or wanted to just be a girl.  I use to crawl around in the hay loft and lake tunnels and rope swings in the barn.  Want to feed to calves.  And I know I peaved Dad off because I tamed all the barn cats so they were not much for mousing anymore. But when it came time to working in the fields my help was not very good.  Couldn't get the tractor to move or couldn't lift a bail of heay.  Helpless little girl I was.  I was also helpless in the house as well.  Never could pick up on being a home maker either.  Cooking seemed to be out of my depth.  The only thing I was good at was playing around with crafts.  I taught myself to knit and sew and crochet.  I love sitting for hours out on the porch when the flies weren't bad and knitting aways. Or playing my guitar that I has been self taught at.Couldn't have lessons because one or the other of my sisters or brothers took lessons and they never did anything with them after wards

I made it through highschool and just wanted to get out of there.  Get on with an exciting life of making money and not living on the farm.  Live in town were I could do things.  Yeah right! as if that was going to happen now that I look back.  Last year of highschool met my future hubby.  Yeah I married my highschool sweetheart.  Sometimes there is a wonder there, but hey we are stil together through thick and thin so something must be right. For 32 years now plus 2 yearse we got married.

Had a fair sized wedding.  About 250 people invited.  Don't remember too much of it.  Must have had a little too much of the stress.  I know the night before it was too much alcohol from his brother serving.  I was layed out on the floor in the hall way.  Had to take a little walk that night before I went back to Mom and Dads place.  Honeymoon was spend in BC  Hubbys first time on a plane anywere.  Had a little visit with my brother and sister in law who lived in White Rock att he time.  Hubby fell in love with BC then and there and decided that some day we were going to live here.

Well we did come back to Ontario.  Bought our first house in Stratford  You know that first house only cost us $17000.00 to buy.  Gee if we would have stayed there we could have had it payed off years ago.  And living free and clear.Spent three years in that place.  But fools we were we decided to move.  Just to save from having to drive to Kitchener to work.  So sold that house and bought another one in Kitchener.  Paid $60000.00 for this one.  Prices are rising too fast. Spent three more years here.  Hubby was doing an apprentiship to be an electrician.  Thiose were hard times for use.  Between being layed off every winter and low wages because of apprentiship made it pretty hard.

I have had many jobs over this time period.  Started out in production working on a line.  Layed off after a year then another production job and lay off after three months..  I did a stint in resteraunts after that.  Pnderosa and Timmies  When we moved to Kitchener I did a stint at Burger King,  then tried out to take courses as a life guard.  Got through those and statted to teach swinning and do a little lifeguarding on the side.  I likes this job but had to resertify every couple of years.

Through this time decided to start a family.  Well found out i am not much good at that.  Had to go through fertilty treatments to get to a point were I was pregnant and then to have it fail a couple of months later.  Those were trying years.  I ended up pregnant three times only to have them gone later.  So we decided that it was time for a change..  Sold the house in Kitchener for a good profit of selling for $120000.00   Low and behold and month after that had all gone through so did a pregnancy that was holding.  Oh goodness.  No house and planning on a move to BC.  So we bought a trailor and lived at a campground just outside of Kitchener.  It was anice place to stay.  Could go swinning every day.  Well anyways we had our little boy.
Had three more tries after that and no success on that front.  finally decided that it wasn't going to happen and ended taking the program

Spent two more months in Ontario to make sure everything was all right with him then headed west.  The dog, the little boy and the tow of us traveling across country in our 30 foot trailor.  Fun trip that was.

Ended up in Namiamo as our first stop.  Stayed living in the trailor while Hubby looked for work  Took him a year to find something  even though he was trained as an electrician.  We were then in Campbell River. Hubby worked up there for three years before he hit it good and got a job with BC Hydro.  This is when allot more moving around became relavant.  Every year to a new place.  Hubby had an aprrentiship again.  So low wages again and allot of moving.  From Campbell River we were in Massett on the Queen Charlotte Islands and they were called at the time now Hiada Quay.  North part of the island.  It is a beautiful place to visit but I recoment not wnzting to stay there very long.  That is if you are not into remotemenss.  Stir crazy you will go up there.  Too much snow in winter and buggy summers.  But the beaches wer great to walk along just have to watch out for wildlife..  Well from there we headed to Hudson hope.  North I mean very north of Prince George.  The summer is nice there but the winter in long and DANG cold.  I had to find something to do there so started exercising.  I use to get on the bike and run the dog (SparkPlug) was her name down to the dam everdat.  That was a ten mile run one way.  the dog loved it.  Me just something to do beside all the walking I use to do.  Still had to watch out for wildlife on my treks.  Our next stop was Vernon  AW much nicer place to be.  Spent one more year there and then ende up down in Maple Ridge.  We bought a haunted condo there.

That is right it was haunted.  I am the only one that had seen him though so every one thinks I am nuts He sure didn't want us living there  we had a few mishaps in this place.  First a pipe starts leaking in the bathroom that sends water all over the floor in the bedroom.  Well we get that all fixed up and then a car decides to come through the bedroom window while Hubby is still sleeping.  He had a quick trip across the floor with that one. This is when we find out that a mam had hung himself in the garage.. then last but not least we get that all fixed up and then go awy on holidays our place floods again.  This time because of a broken toilet bowl.  The neighbour was looking after our outside flowers and said the condo was self watering them for us.  The water was pouring out ever door.  Well anothe r fix up coming.  I spend My days sleeping in the garage while the resoration company redid the place again.. That is when i saw the ghost.  He flaoted acroos to the work bench and checked out the tools then he floated back into the condo. My dog can vouch fo mme if she was still around.  She was growling at him.  I know I am nutty and old.

Our last stop is now in Mission.  Have a great house out here were I can do my crafts and sit and enjoy the view. Well not much of a view but a little one.  Can see a bit of the roof tops and out the back door can see Mount Baker.  The back  yard has a water feature in it with allot of garden.. Weeds I am not much on pulling but get to them once in whlie.  I enjoy being here.  I told everyone we are not moving again.  The next move you are taking me out in a box.  Which may be sooner then I think if this desease I have takes a wrong turn.  Lets hoping not I want to live a long life and see what I can do with the rest of my life.  A few more years of working and then retirement to work on my crafts and enjoy life.  If I can make it that long at work.  It gets harder and harder every day to get up and go, but I am still doing it.

Other people want to travel but me i am a home body and love to just sit around here and enjopy myself.  get out once in while but don't want to be out all the time.

Well a long post today  I know I bored you to death
